The Second Day of Marriage (part 1)

The alarm goes off for morning prayer
A stranger next to me, sleeping right there
Who is this, sharing my bed!?
Oh yes, that's right last night we wed

She's not heard the alarm, shall I wake her?
It feels like we should pray together
Do I call her name or give her a shake
anxious of the wrong decision I'll make

I call her softly, don't want to startle
To my surprise. she starts to giggle
"I wanted to see what you would do"
She's so beautiful, then love is true

We quickly bathed & prayed as one
Noticing that my nerves have gone
Starting things off in the right way
Let's make the most of our first full day
