Madinah

Oh we love you, the first capital
Whose people are so hospitable
When all the world was death and blind
You offered your services, oh so kind

Oh we love you, the first capital
The masjid you own, beyond beautiful
Inside you, deep in the earth
The greatest people, women did birth

The voices you’ve heard, the people you’ve seen
Pure from the filth, so humble and clean
Never fallen to any other nation
Those natural defences, a fortification

Oh to walk where the prophet did walk
Are there trees still there, that heard him talk?
If I go to you, will you accept me?
Not too sure, if I’m worth of thee
